Police: Bridgeport Man Leads Cops On Chase Through Greenwich In Stolen Car

GREENWICH, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested after leading police on a chase when he tried to steal a luxury car from a dealer in Greenwich on Tuesday night, according to Greenwich Time.

Demetris Lark, 20, was trying to steal a 2017 Maserati Ghibli from Miller Motorcars in Greenwich at 8:45 p.m. when the car's alarm when off, Greenwich Time reported. Instead, Lark took off in a Lincoln Town Car that had been reported stolen out of Stamford, according to the Time.

An officer in an unmarked car saw Lark on Livingston Place and started pursuing, Greenwich Time reported. Lark went through stop signs and traffic lights before eventually turning onto a dead-end street, according to Greenwich Time.

Lark then tried to run, but police chased him down and took him into custody, Greenwich Time reported. He also threw a fake pistol when he got out of the car, according to Greenwich Time.

Lark was arrested on felony charges and held on $50,000 bond, according to Greenwich Time.
