Robert Everett, 27, of 16 Elmcrest Terrace, was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault stemming from the Nov. 19 incident in which he hit a security guard in the face, police said.

He had entered Norwalk Hospital around 11 p.m., got into a confrontation with the security guard and struck him in the face, leaving the guard with a small cut, police said.

Officers were called to deal with the yelling and cursing man, who said he would "kill everybody" Lt. Terry Blake said.

Believing he may have been under the influence of narcotics, the officers transported him to the emergency room. Police obtained an arrest warrant for him, and Everett turned himself in to police Sunday.

His bond was set at $10,000, and his first scheduled court date is March 28.
