Police: Paintballs Shot At Street Lamps; 3 Teens Charged

WILTON, Conn. – Three Wilton teens accused of shooting paintballs at street lamps on River Road over the weekend are facing breach of peace charges, police said.

At approximately 8:25 p.m., Saturday, a resident called police to report a group of youths firing a gun at street lamps in the rear parking area of 11 River Road, the police report said. Before officers arrived, the teens left the area, but police were provided with a description of the vehicle they were seen driving, the report said.

Officers later found the car and the youths in the town’s center, police said. 

Gil Heggland, 18, of Godfrey Place; Johnny Hernandez, 19, of Village Court; and Alec Chiavon, 18, also of Village Court werecharged with second-degree breach of peace. Chiavon was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

All three were released on promises to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 6.
