WILTON, Conn. The boy charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of 13-year-old Nicholas Parisot in Wilton four years ago has been extradited to Connecticut and is scheduled to appear today in a juvenile court in Bridgeport.
Two Wilton detectives returned the juvenile to Wilton from California on Wednesday after extradition proceedings were waived, Wilton police announced Wednesday morning. The boy, who police have not named because of his age, was arrested Aug. 23. The boy is charged with second-degree manslaughter, a Class C felony, and was being held without bond at the juvenile detention center in Bridgeport.
Parisot, 13, died June 13, 2008, while riding his motorized bike near Hickory Hill and Hillbrook roads. Police said Parisot struck a rope tied between trees across a wooded trail.
The boy is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Bridgeport Superior Court. Police said the suspect, who was living Placentia, Calif., had been in custody in California since his arrest.
