Suspended Bridgeport Police Officer Clive Higgins is standing trial in U.S. District Court in Hartford on charges of violating Orlando Lopez-Soto's civil rights by using excessive force during the arrest on May 20, 2011, in the park.

The video (above) shows police officers kicking and stomping on Lopez-Soto, who is in prison on a drug conviction but appeared in court to testify Monday, according to the Connecticut Post. The maker of the video, Timothy Fennell, also testified Monday.

The two other officers charged -- Joseph Lawlor and Elson Morales -- pleaded guilty and face up to a year in prison, The Post said.
