WILTON, Conn. – An 18-year-old from Weston turned himself in to Wilton police on an arrest warrant charging him with leaving the scene of a car accident over the summer, police said.
Ryan Harrison Trepp, 18, of 44 White Birch Road, Weston, was arrested at Wilton police headquarters at 10 a.m. Nov. 25, police said.
According to the Wilton Bulletin, Trepp hit another car on Aug. 11, when he merged without warning onto Danbury Road and sideswiped another car in the other southbound lane.
Trepp kept driving, the Bulletin said, but the other driver recorded the license plate number of Trepp’s 2006 Lexus.
Trepp was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was released on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court.
