WILTON, Conn., -- A Weston woman was more than three times the legal alcohol limit when she had an accident with a 6-year-old child in her vehicle on Feb. 25, Wilton Police said.
Hilary Flora, 58, of 203 Newtown Turnpike Road, Weston, was charged with driving under the influence and risk of injury to a child. She was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
A motorist made a 911 call after a driver who had been driving erratically in the area of Sturges Ridge Road and Cedar Road was involved in a minor accident, police said.
When officers arrived, they quickly determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash, police said.
The motorist, identified as Flora, performed a breathalyzer test, and police said a blood alcohol level of .2769 was recorded, more than three times the legal limit of .08.
Police said the 6-year-old is a relative of Flora but declined to specify the relationship.
