WILTON, Conn. - In a ceremony Thursday, the Wilton Fire Department promoted four officers through the ranks, in order to fill key positions in the department, the Wilton Bulletin reported.
Lt. Brian Elliott and Lt. Jim Blanchfield were promoted to captain and firefighters William Sampson and William Wilson were named lieutenants, the story said.
The Bulletin reported Fire Chief Ron Kanterman said the promotions return the department to full strength except for one a position in the fire marshal’s office.
