Christopher Hill, of Boulder Brook Road, was traveling northbound on Pelham Lane on Tuesday night, Jan. 7, when his vehicle veered off the road and drove into a Connecticut Light & Power utility pole, police said.

Responding officers asked Hill to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, the arrest report says. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Breath tests measured Hill’s blood-alcohol level at 0.25, which is more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.

While being processed at Police Headquarters, Hill requested medical treatment and was transported to Norwalk Hospital, the report says. He is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Friday, Jan. 17.
