WILTON, Conn. -- A Wilton man crashed into a utility pole, breaking it in two a short distance from his home, police said as they charged him with drinking and driving after the early morning accident Tuesday.
Timothy Maher, 24, of 56 St. John's Road, slammed into the utility pole in front of 14 St. John's Road at 12:20 a.m. with his 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, police said.
