Wilton Mom Charged With Leaving 3-Year-Old Home Alone

WILTON, Conn. — A 28-year-old Wilton woman is facing a felony charge after police say she left her 3-year-old daughter home alone to run errands.

Valerie Holden, of Danbury Road, left the child home alone last Friday afternoon, police said. According to the police report, Holden thought a co-worker was going to watch her daughter. However, the co-worker told Holden she couldn’t because she was busy working, the police report said.

Holden was charged with risk of injury to a child, a felony. She was released on promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on March 18.
