Wilton Murder Suspect Aaron Ramsey Moving To Hospital

WILTON, Conn. – Aaron Ramsey, charged with killing his father at their Wilton home in May, will be moved from jail to a hospital now that his mother has paid his $1 million bond, his lawyer says.

Ramsey, 22, is not being released but will be transferred to either Bridgeport Hospital or Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown for continued evaluation, said Howard Ehring, Ramsey's state-appointed attorney.

Ramsey will meet with a psychiatrist, Ehring said.

Ramsey's 73-year-old father, Edward, was been beaten and stabbed multiple times in his home on Signal Hill Road, according to police reports.

In the arrest warrant filed by Wilton police, Aaron Ramsey was quoted as saying that he was hearing “voices” and that “aliens” were out to get him. The warrant also said Ramsey was told by the “voices” that his father had “magic powers and can heal himself."

Aaron Ramsey has been in court several times since being charged May 4. In June, he was found competent to stand trial, meaning he was aware of the charges against him and able to assist Ehring in his defense.
