WILTON, Conn. -- A Bronx teenager has been charged with trying to cash a fake check at Chase Bank in Wilton, according to police.
In the April 27 incident, Wilton Police were contacted by a Chase employee at 3:31 p.m. to report that a female customer had tried to cash a fraudulent check, said police.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspect in front of the bank at 33 Old Ridgefield Road, according to police. After it was confirmed by the bank employee they had the right person, officers arrested the suspect, later identified as Nyderah McDonald, 19, of the Bronx, N.Y., police said.
She was charged with third- and fourth-degree larceny, first- and third-degree forgery, and identity theft, according to police.
McDonald was held on a $25,000 bond and is due in court April 28, police said.
