WILTON, Conn. — Wilton officers made a total of 190 motor vehicle stops for distracted driving-related offenses in April, and as a result issued 116 distracted driving infractions, according to police.
In terms of the Distracted Driving High Visibility Enforcement Grant, a total of 107 infractions were issued, said police.
The tickets were issued for the following offenses, according to police:
- Talking on cellphone: 56
- Texting: 41
- Other distracted driving behavior: 3
- Other motor vehicle violations: 7
