WILTON, Conn. — A number of roads were closed and 80 customers were still without power in Wilton on Thursday afternoon because of strong winds blowing through the area, police said.
A number of downed tree branches and electrical wires were reported across Wilton, closing the following roads:
- Deer Run Road in front of # 85.
- Warncke Road, just north of Catalpa Road.
- Honey Hill road, near Wampum Hill Road.
- Skunk Lane, in front of # 130
Eversource was on the scene in town making repairs. As of 2:45 p.m., 80 customers in town remained without power. Earlier in the day, nearly 100 customers were without power.
