“We are grateful for Paul's exceptional dedication to our community over decades and his continued commitment to serving others, whether in a commission room or out on fire and medical emergencies. Paul's valuable contributions and leadership are well-respected, and his work on the Historic District Commission is uniquely special given his family ties in Weston dating back two centuries,” said Dawn Rivera, RTC vice chair and chair of the Candidate Recruitment Committee.

The Historic District Commission is responsible to assure that properties that are designated as being in the town’s five historic districts comply with state regulations. The HDC must follow these regulations when a property owner requests a change to their property. Deysenroth has been a member of the HDC since 2009 and vice chair for the past three years.

“I find that this commission is most worthy of the needs in Weston,” Deysenroth said.

Deysenroth and his wife have lived in Weston for 50 years, and he has spent nearly as long as an active member of both the Weston Volunteer Fire Department and Weston Emergency Medical Services. He is also a member of the Weston Historical Society, where he served two terms as chairman and currently serves on its board of trustees. The Weston Republican Town Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Members of the community are welcome to attend. For more information, go to www.westonrtc.org.
