State Funding To Wilton Increases For New Fiscal Year

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – As the new fiscal year begins Tuesday, July 1, across Connecticut, here is a look at the amount of state aid awarded by the legislature to the cities and towns in Fairfield County, according to the CT Mirror

This state money is to help pay for local government and schools. Check out the list below to see how much more your town is getting this year:

  • Danbury: $38.3 million; up $2.62 million, or 7.4%
  • Darien: $2.179 million; up $13,314, or 0.6% 
  • Easton: $965,402; up $6,878, or 0.7%
  • Fairfield: $7.7 million; up $250,000, or 3.3%
  • Greenwich: $5.6 million; up $67,000, or 1.2%
  • New Canaan: $1.9 million; up $6,700, or 0.3%
  • Norwalk: $16.1 million; up $487,000, or 3.1%
  • Redding $1.2 million; up $8,684, or 0.7%
  • Ridgefield: $3.3 million; up $125, or 0%
  • Stamford: $17.9 million; up $1.34 million, or 8.1%
  • Weston: $1.2 million; up $2,500, or 0.2%
  • Westport: $3.5 million; up $76,000, or 2.2%
  • Wilton: $2.4 million; up $32,900, or 1.3%
