WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan will not seek re-election this fall and will officially retire on Nov. 30 at the end of his fourth term as the town's chief executive, according to the Wilton Bulletin .
He made the announcement at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.
“It’s been an honor to serve the citizens of Wilton, and I have a full agenda for the next five months, I can assure you," Brennan joked, according to the Bulletin.
He has been first selectman for a decade.
