Wilton Issues Reminder To Residents: Taxes Are Due New Year's Day

WILTON, Conn. -- The second installment of town of Wilton taxes are due and payable on Jan. 1, 2014, town officials are reminding residents.

Payments may be made without interest on or before Feb. 3, town officials said. Taxes are due from all persons liable to pay taxes to the town of Wilton on the assessment list of Oct. 1, 2012. Town officials said that if a payment was not made on time, the installment due would become delinquent and be subject to interest at a rate of 18 percent per year.

No tax bills will be mailed for the Jan. 1 installment; the original bill mailed in July contained both installments, according to an official notice from the town. 

Motor Vehicle Supplemental tax bill is due Jan. 1 and may be paid without interest on or before Feb. 3. The Motor Vehicle Supplemental tax bills are only for those who registered motor vehicles between Oct.  2, 2012, and July 31, 2013.

Taxes are payable at the Tax Collector’s Office, Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road, or at the town of Wilton website
