Wilton Selectmen Trim Town Budget Request By $348,500

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Board of Selectmen is making cuts to reduce the town's budget proposal by $348,500, according to a Wilton Bulletin report.

At the recommendation of the Board of Finance, the Board of Selectmen will trim the budget by $348,500, including $251,000 from operating expenditures, according to the Wilton Bulletin.

The proposed cuts include "money from the highway department, town hall properties, and the fire wellness program as well as $30,000 from the human resources department, $50,000 worth of sand and salt to replenish supplies, and $10,000 from the library," according to the Wilton Bulletin.
