Join the library for a very special Monroe Reads Together book discussion led by Mark Schenker, Senior Associate Dean of Yale College.

"It was an unlikely quest from the start," the book's Amazon.com description reads. "With a team composed of the sons of loggers, shipyard workers, and farmers, the University of Washington's eight-oar crew team was never expected to defeat the elite teams of the East Coast and Great Britain, yet they did, going on to shock the world by defeating the German team rowing for Adolf Hitler."

The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. Books are available at the circulation desk and at Linda's Story Time in Monroe. Registration is required for this program. Call the library at 203-452-2850 or click here to register.

The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library is located at 733 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
