Dante Dixon, 33, remained held on $45,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with domestic violence assault, evidence tampering and various drug possession counts, including near public housing and a city park.

Reponding Officer Andrew Chytrak was met by a woman who followed Dixon out of a 4th Ward apartment around 9 o’clock Christmas night, saying that he’d just assaulted her, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Dixon bolted and was chased by Chytrak, who was joined in cornering him by Officer Sean O’Hara, Torell said.

The victim didn’t require medical attention, the captain said.
