WILTON, Conn. -- In Wilton, history is around every corner. And preserving the town's 18th and 19th-century homes has made Wilton one of Connecticut's most picturesque locations.

Although classic colonials can be found across the town’s 27 square miles, Wilton has restored much of its architectural heritage in five town-designated historic districts. Beginning with Lambert House, Wilton’s oldest building, the revived housing community has grown from one original house to a nine-structure complex of historic Wilton buildings.

Wilton also served as a stop on the Underground Railroad during the late 1800s. Today, residents can still find the location where American history traveled right under their celebrated town.

107 Keelers Ridge Road, a home located nearby one of Wilton’s historical districts, is currently listed by Lynne Murphy of Realty Seven. This maintained colonial is sited on two beautiful acres with gorgeous molding, hardwood floors and an expansive dining room that can sit as many as 30 guests. A cozy library and living room offers an amazing view of the wooded valley of Wilton and the upper-level features a light-filled master bedroom and a walk-in closet.

Considered one of Wilton’s most desired listings, this home combines history with luxury in a convenient location just minutes from Metro-North New Haven Line stops.

Wilton's deep-rooted history still remains in many homes and buildings across town. For more information or to find more Realty Seven listings, visit their website.
