WILTON, Conn. — Wilton High School is honoring three seniors who have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The three seniors are Mia A. Ruefenacht, James K. Trentos and Michael D. Wallace.
These students took the fall 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. Nationally, more than 1.5 million students took the exam and 16,000 were named National Merit Semifinalists. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists represents less than 1 percent of seniors in the U.S.
These students have the opportunity to continue in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards that will be offered next spring.
