Second- and third-grade students helped Desiano, Nash and Jill Summer, the school’s Kitchen and Garden Consultant and a certified chef, in making the yogurt. The lesson integrated science, math, history and practical applications in food preparation.

Desiano has over 15 years of experience in New York City restaurants prior to coming to Ridgefield Academy. He has been a proponent of “farm-to-table” eating, and provides healthy eating options for students at Ridgefield Academy.
