An old manual typewriter was probably not what Vicki Lynch expected to find at the "Sparkle and Shine Sale" this past weekend at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton.
After all, the sale was supposed to feature jewelry. But Vicki gamely gave it a try anyway.
The event was run by Karen O'Toole and the rest of the volunteers who normally work the "Something Special" vintage thrift shop that takes place every weekend at Our Lady of Fatima School.
"It's the hottest ticket in town," O'Toole said of the items donated for the sale. All proceeds go to Our Lady of Fatima School. The "Something Special" sales are held every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the school for anyone interested in finding that "knick-knack" they can't find anywhere else.
