Wilton Forum Offers Ways To Support 8th-Graders Moving To High School

WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Youth Council’s Project 2020 and the Wilton High School PTSA are hosting a presentation for parents of eighth-graders on Wednesday April 27, at the Wilton High School Little Theater.

Parents will learn how to provide social and emotional support to their children as they transition to high school.

The program will begin with a presentation on Adolescent Brain Development by Liz Jorgensen, a nationally recognized adolescent counseling expert. Following the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session with panelists to address parents’ questions.

The panelists will include a Wilton High School social worker, Wilton High School and Middlebrook School counselors, and Wilton High School parents and students.

The event will be from 7 - 9 p.m. It is sponsored by the Wilton High School PTSA, Wilton Youth Council's Project 2020 and Wilton Public Schools.

The Wilton High School Little Theater is at 395 Danbury Road, Wilton.
