Wilton High Senior Honored For Excellence In Citizenship

WILTON, Conn. - Chase Smith, a senior at Wilton High School, was recently awarded the Connecticut Secretary of the State 12th Grade Excellence in Citizenship Award by Secretary of the State Denise Merrill.

Chase, the winner from Congressional District 4, received a Public Service Award certificate and a $1,000 scholarship.

Chase was invited to meet Merrill in Principal Robert O'Donnell's office at Wilton High School. Also present were Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan, Connecticut Director of Elections Peggy Reeves, and Wilton High School Assistant Principals Richard Sanzo and Linda Lyall.
