The 90-minute session will cover, "what is possible for Wilton's schools and how to make that vision a reality," according to a statement on the district's website.

“This process will give shared meaning and purpose to what we do moving forward as a school community,” Superintendent Kevin Smith said in a press release. “The goal is to have a clear, agreed-upon understanding of what we are trying to achieve and a set of actions that will bridge the current reality to the vision.”

Developing and implementing a comprehensive vision of the future needs to involve many voices, partnering home, school and community, organizers said. The community conversation is designed to build a new model of education in Wilton that will serve its learners and foster 21st century skills and knowledge.

The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Middlebrook School media center, 131 School Road.
