WILTON, Conn. -- With Wilton students going back to school on Tuesday, Sept. 5, the Wilton Police Department is reminding all residents to be safe and keep an eye out for kids during the morning and afternoon commutes.
"Please be alert on our roads, drive safely, and remember to stop for school buses picking up and dropping off students."
In a back to school public service message from the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, drivers are reminded that students, teachers, buses, crossing guards and coaches are all back. Police are asking drivers to be alert and watchful for buses and children to ensure that everyone has a safe and healthy start to the new school year.
