Wilton Ranks As No. 3 Among School Districts In Connecticut, 34th In Nation

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Three school districts in Fairfield County were ranked among the nation's best for 2016 by Niche, an education website dedicated to providing rankings and systems on school districts throughout the country.

And many more were ranked among the top in Connecticut.

Here are the state rankings for school districts in Fairfield County:

No. 1: Westport, which also was ranked 12th in the nation 

No. 2: New Canaan, which also was ranked 16th in the nation

No. 3: Wilton, which also was ranked 34th in the nation

No. 5: Greenwich

No. 6: Weston

 No. 7: Darien

No. 8: Ridgefield

No. 15: Newtown

No. 20: Fairfield

No. 21: Monroe

No. 23: Brookfield

No. 27: Trumbull

No. 35: Bethel

No. 40: New Fairfield

No. 50: Stamford

No. 77: Danbury

No. 78: Shelton

No. 79: Norwalk

No. 97: Stratford

The 2016 Best School Districts ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall experience of a school district. This grade takes into account key factors such as the strength of academics, quality of teachers, school resources, the quality of student life, as well as student and parent reviews, in an attempt to measure the overall excellence of the district.
