Updated at 8:47 a.m. WILTON, Conn. - Wilton Public Schools announced Friday morning that they will be closed Friday due to the blizzard conditions predicted for later in the day.

Strong winds and snow from 10 to 16 inches is forecast for Fairfield County beginning Friday, with conditions worsening Friday night and blizzard conditions predicted. The snow should end Saturday afternoon.

Wilton Library officials announced Friday that the library will be closed all day because of the snowstorm.
