Wilton Schools Might Get A Late Start in 2016

WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton students may not start school until after Labor Day in 2016, with the first day of school set for Sept. 6 according to a revision to the proposed school calendar, the Wilton Bulletin reports.

The article says Superintendent Kevin Smith offered presented the revision at a Board of Education meeting Dec. 17.

He reportedly said the Miller-Driscoll Building Committee has requested the change to accommodate renovations being done during the summer when students are away from the building, the story said.
