Wilton Baseball Fans Celebrate Opening Day

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fans of the New York Yankees and Mets as well as the Boston Red Sox celebrated opening day Monday as the teams played their first games of the season.

The Yankees opened at home Monday at 1 p.m. against Toronto, while the Mets played at 4 p.m. at Washington. The Red Sox played at 3 p.m. against Philadelphia.

St. Louis defeated Chicago, 3-0, in the first game of the Major League Baseball season on Sunday.
