Olivia Holm, 15, will complete at L'Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup March 6 to 11 in Tarvisio, Italy.

The cup, formerly known as Trofeo Topolino, is a historic and premier European ski competition for children.

Teams from across the globe are represented.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association will send six U16 ski racers (three girls and three boys).

Past racers at the cup include Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, and Picabo Street.

Earlier this season, Holm was selected for the USSA’s U16 National Performance Series.

The series is part of the national development system and brought the top U16 skiers together for head-to-head training and racing at Copper Mountain, Colorado and Burke Mountain in Vermont.

Holm qualified for the cup based on her times during the NPS series as well as her ranking as the top female U16 Giant Slalom skier in the USSA’s Eastern division.

She won the Vermont Cup Series in both the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.

Holm is a sophomore at Stratton Mountain School, a winter sports academy, in Vermont.
