Beginning Saturday afternoon, the Warriors came out strong, dominating Ridgefield 6G in a 33-25 victory. During the game, key foul shots were made by Zoe Rappaport followed by tenacious defense from Sophie Sudano and Brynn Burke. The centers Francesca Goncalves and Zara Wiest pulled down rebounds and made great follow-up shots to keep the girls in the game.
The good feeling from Saturday's victory carried over to Sunday as Wilton overpowered Greenwich Boys & Girls Club, 39-17. That win was a result of a true team effort, with scoring coming from several several members of the squad, including Taylor Lamantia and Ashleigh Coltman. The shooting guards, Paula Perez and Nancy Lynch, hit great shots and ran the court well, distributing the ball inside. Anna Breen - recovering from an injury - provided great support to the team from the bench. All in all a great display of teamwork and competitiveness.
