The team has joined the “Beat Cancer With a Stick” campaign, an annual fundraising event in which college and high school lacrosse teams across the pledge to donate proceeds from at least one game to foundation. .
During the 4 p.m. game, the team will sell T-shirts and raffle tickets. General donations will also be sought. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the foundation.
"I feel very strongly that the lacrosse community can make an impact in raising awareness and participating in cancer research,” team member Charlotte Noels said in a statement. “It’s a great game and a great cause.”
In addition to funds raised during the game, the team recently held a bake sale for the cause.
The game begins at 4 p.m. at Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road.
