WILTON, Conn. – Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton is hosting its second annual Folds of Honor Challenge Pro-Am on Monday to raise funds for the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships and other assistance to families of men and women who were killed or disabled while serving in the military.

The only Folds of Honor fund-raiser in Fairfield County, the event will include a golf tournament, live and silent auctions, a special ceremony featuring presentations by Folds of Honor recipients, and a gala dinner. The golf tournament will consist of five man teams that include one military golfer, a PGA Professional and three Folds of Honor donors.

“The 2012 Folds of Honor Challenge at Rolling Hills was a great success and raised over $35,000,” Rolling Hills Communications Director Elizabeth Ethridge McGann said. “We expect to raise substantially more this year.”

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Oklahoma-based foundation, which has, to date, awarded more than 2,600 scholarships.

Monday’s event begins at 10 a.m. with registration. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and the opening ceremony will begin at noon with Major John Turner singing the national anthem. At 12:15 p.m., the tournament will begin with a shotgun commemoration. A cocktail party and silent auction will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the gala dinner, awards ceremony and live auction will follow from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

This year’s benefit is being co-chaired by Desert Storm veteran and Titleist representative Brendan Dlouhy and Ray Ford, head golf professional at Rolling Hills.

Registration for the golf tournament is closed, but anyone interested in being a spectator, attending the gala dinner or making a donation can find more information here , or by contacting Ray Ford at 203-733-4327 or at ray1putt@gmail.com.
