Wilton Soccer Team Reaches State Cup Semifinals

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton under-11 boys soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the State Cup.

Wilton will play West Hartford in the semifinals on Saturday, Oct. 25. The tournament started with 74 teams.

Wilton beat WAM United, 3-1, in the quarterfinals. Wilton beat Bristol, 6-1; Wilton White, 9-3; and Norwalk, 8-0, in previous tournament games.

The winner will advance to the Connecticut Cup championshp game on Nov. 1. The last Wilton team to win a Connecticut Cup was in 2006.
