Wilton Wahoos Crown 3 Swimming Champions At Nationals

WILTON, Conn. – The Wilton Wahoos crowned three national champions, broke four Connecticut records and won the men’s team championship at last week’s YMCA Long Course National Swimming Championships at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta.

The Wahoo men won with 628 points, while the women came in eighth. The Wahoos finished fourth with men and women combined.

Stephen Homquist won the men’s 800. Eric Ronda of Greenwich won the 100 breaststroke, setting national and Connecticut records in the process. Ian Rainey of Westport won the 1,500 free.
