FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A disabled tractor-trailer was blocking the right lane of northbound Interstate 95 in Fairfield late Saturday morning, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. 

The tractor-trailer, which appears to be jackknifed, is in the right lane at Exit 20 for Bronson Road in Fairfield. 

The accident was reported at about 11 a.m. Traffic was reportedly backed up to Exit 17 in Westport for Routes 33/136, with slow-moving traffic in the area. 

DOT cameras show the highway is wet, with snow piled on the shoulders in the area. A snowstorm has been moving across the area throughout the morning. 

It was not clear how long it would take to clear the accident scene, DOT said.
