It's Another Bad Air Day With More Heat In Wilton

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Temperatures will soar well above normal into the 80s as a high pressure system remains over Fairfield County on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

There is also an air quality alert in effect for much of Connecticut from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Ground level ozone may approach or exceed healthy standards, 

There will be more sunshine Thursday versus Friday, the weather service said.

The high temperature Thursday will approach 88 degrees with sunny skies and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening with a low temperature near 60 degrees. 

Friday brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 p.m. under cloudy skies with a high near 82. 

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Sunday will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with partly sunny skies and a high near 84. 

On Memorial Day, there is a 30 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 76.
