Near-Record Heat Kicks Off Sunny, Warm Week In Wilton

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Residents of Fairfield County can expect sunny and unseasonably warm weather to continue through the beginning of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will be well above normal and perhaps near records on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Monday will be sunny, with a high near 87. Some clouds will roll in Monday, and stick around for a portion of Tuesday morning. The low Monday night will be around 65, and there will be some patchy fog after 1 a.m.

Tuesday will see patchy fog continue before 9 a.m. Otherwise, the day will be mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

There is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon on Wednesday. The rest of the day will be partly sunny, ad temperatures will begin to dip. The high will be near 79. Wednesday night will see a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., but will otherwise be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

The sun will be back out on Thursday, which will be mostly sunny with a high near 76. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 52.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 69. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 51. The weekend is predicted to be sunny, but temperatures will be much lower, with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
