Storms Moving In Overnight To Give Wet Start To Weekend In Wilton

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Sick of the steamy weather on Friday? Brace for some heavy rain as a cold front moves through Fairfield County overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday was sunny and muggy, with highs in the mid-80s. But there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Friday night as with heavy rain and flooding possible as storms move through Fairfield County. 

Isolated severe thunderstorms with strong winds are also possible, the weather service said. 

The rain is expected to move in after 2 a.m., with increasing clouds and temperatures dropping to the upper 60s. 

Saturday will likely be a washout, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m. More heavy rain is possible. 

The clouds will gradually give way to sun in the afternoon, with a high near 83. 

It will be mostly clear Saturday Night, with a low in the mid-50s, for perfect sleeping conditions. 

Sunday will be a picture perfect: Sunny, with a high near 78 degrees.
