FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents can expect warm temperatures and sunny skies on Wednesday, though a warm front may bring some more unsettled weather toward the end of the week.

Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 81, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 62, but clouds will begin gradually increasing into Thursday ahead of a warm front approaching from the south.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers on Thursday, mainly afternoon. Otherwise the day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 75. Thursday night will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Showers are likely after midnight, along with the possibility of a storm. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent and the low will be around 65. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible Thursday night.
