Monday, Oct. 15

Literary Littles at Wilton Library: 2:15 p.m. For independent listeners ages 4 to 6 years-old. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs and do a craft. This program runs through Oct. 22. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wilton Zoning Board of Appeals: 7:15 p.m. The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

Wilton Board of Finance: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Finance will have its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Business Smarts Series: SEO and Social Media – A Love Affair: 8 to 10 a.m. Joel Burger showcases a real case study demonstrating how to increase targeted traffic to a site. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.  A light breakfast will be served. Registration is $10 per session. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wednesday, Oct. 17

Wilton Library English as a Second Language Class: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Twice-weekly ESL classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays through Dec. 12 at Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There are no classes on Oct. 8 and Nov. 21.) Testing and registration required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Thursday, Oct. 18

Children’s Advanced Chess Class at Wilton Library: 5 to 6 p.m. Children in grades 1 to 7 will get beginner chess instruction from Christopher Potts, an instructor, tournament player and US Chess Federation certified tournament director. Program fee is $80 per student for all eight meetings. Please note there will be no class on Nov. 22. In-person registration is required, payment due at time of registration. Friday, Oct. 19

Horror Film Fest for Teens At Wilton Library: 4:30 to 8 p.m. Come get spooked with a double feature of horror films. Watch the classic zombie film, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and then see Daniel Radcliffe (a.k.a. Harry Potter) starring in THE WOMAN IN BLACK. Pizza and Zombie Fingers served. For teens in grades 6 to 12. Registration suggested. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wilton High School Football: 6 p.m. The Wilton Warriors will play host to the Darien High School Blue Wave at Fujitani Field. Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road.
