WILTON, CONN. -- The Wilton Historical Society will present a lecture on documents pertaining to the town harking back to the founding of the nation.
"Small Town in a New Nation 1775-1814" will be presented from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 19 by John Reznikoff, a well-known authority and writer on the subject of rare documents and manuscripts.
Reznikoff will be speaking about 18th- and 19th-century documents that he has donated to the society. They include inventory from the Betts Store, letters written by soldiers and more.
Robert Russell, the town's historian, also will speak about the document’s significance to Wilton's history.
