WILTON, Conn. - The flowers planted by LaurelRock Company Landscape Architects of Wilton offer a spring sight for everyone to enjoy who is turning into the Wilton Family Y driveway from Route 7.
LaurelRock selected the Y for its annual Planet Day of Service, a national Earth Day program that offers landscape industry companies the opportunity to create volunteer projects that improve their own community. On Earth Day, nine LaurelRock employees brought their equipment and spent the entire day at the Y preparing an expanded bed and installing a variety of flowering plants and shrubs.
“Due to the generosity of LaurelRock, the Route 7 entryway to our Y has a fresh new welcoming look that will be beautiful all season long," Y Executive Director Bob McDowell said. "We truly appreciate their community spirit in choosing the Y for their Earth Day project. We are truly blessed to be located on a campus that contains so many flower beds, and now when people arrive the first thing they will see is a real showpiece from the generous efforts of LaurelRock.”
