Norwalk resident Iryna Dymskaya, a former Orem’s Diner waitress, was awarded $84,501 in federal court on Wednesday, April 9, according to the Wilton Bulletin. The court awarded the money after a three-day jury trial, the Bulletin said.

Dymskaya previously filed a sexual harassment and discrimination complaint against the diner in 2011, according to the report.

Dymskaya "alleged that male employees made numerous sexually explicit and suggestive comments to her when she was an employee at the eatery. The derogatory and offensive comments also focused on her heritage, she said," according to the Wilton Bulletin.

Orem's Diner is a landmark eatery on Route 7.
