WILTON, Conn. − Although the accident happened near the Bridgeport/Fairfield border, the May 17 Metro-North derailment and collision wreaked havoc for all commuters heading to the city. Here’s a look at this and other top stories from the past week in Wilton.

? Commuters had to deal with added traffic on the roads and trains Monday and Tuesday as people had to adjust after a train derailment on Metro-North's New Haven Line in Bridgeport. Trains were back up and running by Tuesday afternoon .

? Wilton is slated to get a new assistant superintendent . Charles Smith, principal of North Street School in Greenwich, will become Wilton's assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, effective July 1.
